Impressive Driving Range and Fast Charging
One of the biggest highlights is its exceptional driving range. Depending on the battery pack and trim level, the truck offers an EPA-estimated range between 286 and 493 miles on a full charge. The Work Truck (WT) model with the largest battery provides the maximum 493-mile range.
Charging is equally impressive. Chevrolet states that It can gain approximately 100 miles of driving range in just 10 minutes when connected to a compatible public DC fast charger. During independent testing, the truck achieved an average charging speed of around 198 kW, allowing it to charge from 10% to 90% in under an hour.
Performance and Power
It offers strong performance for both everyday driving and heavy work. Every model comes with two electric motors and standard all-wheel drive. Power depends on the trim level. The Work Truck (WT) produces 510 horsepower, the Trail Boss offers up to 725 horsepower, and the LT delivers up to 760 horsepower. The high-performance RST model can go from 0 to 60 mph in just 4.1 seconds.
Towing and Payload Capacity
Even though the Silverado EV is fully electric, it is built to handle heavy work. It can tow up to 12,500 pounds and carry a payload of up to 1,800 pounds. Chevrolet has also said that a future version of the truck will be able to tow up to 20,000 pounds.
Cargo Space and Utility Features
It includes an 11-cubic-foot front trunk (frunk) for additional storage. Its Multi-Flex Midgate extends the cargo bed to more than nine feet, making it easier to transport long items.
Interior, Infotainment, and Comfort
Inside, the Silverado EV features a spacious five-seat cabin with an 11-inch digital instrument cluster and a 17.7-inch touchscreen infotainment system powered by Google’s built-in software, including Google Maps. Physical climate controls remain for convenience, although Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are not available.
2026 Trail Boss Trim
For 2026, Chevrolet introduced the Trail Boss trim for buyers who enjoy off-road driving. It features a factory lift kit, 35-inch all-terrain tyres, unique 18-inch wheels, red tow hooks, a redesigned front bumper, and a dedicated Terrain driving mode.
Safety and Driver Assistance Features
It comes equipped with a range of standard safety technologies, including automatic emergency braking, lane-keeping assist, adaptive cruise control, and Chevrolet’s Safety Alert Seat. Higher trims also offer the Super Cruise hands-free driving system.
