Chevrolet Expands the Corvette Family

The company says every Corvette is made with a focus on speed, modern technology, and excellent build quality. The 2027 Corvette lineup continues this tradition by offering new models with different power levels and driving experiences. Chris Barber, Lead Development Engineer for Corvette ZR1, says that “Corvette sets the standard for performance cars.” With six models available, buyers can choose a Corvette that matches their needs, from everyday driving to high-performance track use.

Grand Sport Returns for 2027

One of the biggest highlights of the 2027 Corvette lineup is the return of the Grand Sport. The company says this model is made for drivers who want both daily comfort and strong performance.

The Grand Sport comes with a new 6.7-litre naturally aspirated LS6 V8 engine that produces 535 horsepower and 520 lb-ft of torque. It delivers the highest torque among naturally aspirated production V8 engines. The Grand Sport can go from 0 to 60 mph in just 2.75 seconds and complete the quarter mile in 10.95 seconds at 124 mph.

New Grand Sport X Adds Electrified AWD

The company has also introduced the new Grand Sport X, a model designed for drivers who want extra performance. It combines the latest LS6 V8 engine with an electric front axle that provides all-wheel drive, helping improve grip and acceleration.

The Grand Sport X features classic Corvette-inspired design elements and an available quad centre exhaust system. It adds modern hybrid technology while keeping the sporty character of the Corvette lineup.

Stingray Continues as the Starting Model

The 2027 Corvette Stingray remains the starting model in the lineup, with prices beginning at $71,000.

It produces 535 horsepower, reaches 60 mph in 2.8 seconds, and completes the quarter mile in 11.0 seconds at 124 mph. The company says the Stingray combines sports car performance with practical cargo space, making it suitable for both everyday driving and weekend trips.

Z06 Brings Racing Technology to the Street

The Corvette Z06 is built for drivers who want a track-focused performance experience.

It is powered by a 5.5-litre LT6 V8 engine with a flat-plane crankshaft, producing 670 horsepower. This makes it Chevrolet’s most powerful naturally aspirated Corvette. The engine uses technology inspired by Corvette Racing’s success at famous races like Le Mans, Sebring, and Daytona.

The Z06 can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in just 2.6 seconds and complete the quarter mile in 10.6 seconds at 130 mph.

ZR1 Pushes Performance Even Further

For drivers who want the highest level of performance, the company offers the Corvette ZR1.

The ZR1 is powered by a twin-turbocharged 5.5-litre LT7 V8 engine that produces 1,064 horsepower at 7,000 rpm. The company combines this powerful engine with advanced aerodynamics and lightweight materials to create one of the fastest and most capable Corvettes ever made.

The ZR1 can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in just 2.3 seconds and complete the quarter mile in 9.6 seconds at 150 mph.

ZR1X Tops the Corvette Lineup

The Corvette ZR1X is the most powerful model in the 2027 Corvette lineup.

It combines the twin-turbocharged LT7 V8 engine with an electric front-drive system to create a hybrid all-wheel-drive setup that delivers 1,250 combined horsepower. The company calls the ZR1X the ultimate Corvette and a true American hypercar.

According to the company, the ZR1X can reach 60 mph in just 1.89 seconds and complete the quarter mile in 8.99 seconds at 157 mph. It is the fastest and most powerful Corvette model available.

Corvette Racing Continues to Shine

The company also highlighted Corvette’s success in racing. The Corvette Z06 GT3.R recently achieved a major result at the 24 Hours of Le Mans, adding another achievement to Corvette Racing’s long history of competition.

The company also shared Nürburgring lap times for three Corvette models:

  • Corvette Z06: 7:11.826
  • Corvette ZR1: 6:50.763
  • Corvette ZR1X: 6:49.275

These lap times show the strong performance and engineering abilities of the company’s latest sports cars on one of the world’s toughest race tracks.
